At this time of year many of us are making plans to celebrate the season with our family and friends. It may bring a lot of
extra work and expense, but it is usually worth it to be able to spend some enjoyable time together. As one mum said to us
recently - "having your family around you safe and well is the most valuable gift in the world".
For so many of the families that use our hospice, Christmas is a very difficult and painful time. Ben was just 16 when he lost his brave fight for life. He spent his final Christmas surrounded by his family and friends and is remembered by everyone who knew him with love and admiration.
We invite you to read Ben's Story lovingly written by his mother Julie. Julie has also written a beautiful song entitled 'Angel Love' in tribute to Ben and all the other children whose lives are sadly cut short.
