Waterworld staff splash out for charity
SPLASHING OUT: Almost 100 workers turned out to a charity fund-raiser and team-building event.
Waterworld, at Festival Park, staged It's A Splashout in aid of the Donna Louise Trust yesterday.
The event involving companies from across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire involved a number of head-to-head wet and dry challenges.
As well as businesses, Aspire Housing and Bucknall-based Mitchell Business & Enterprise College took part, with the school emerging as the winner.
Assured Recruitment's Aqua team came second.
Christina Hunter, a fund-raiser at the Trentham Lakes-based children's charity, said an estimated £3,000 had been raised.
She said: "Not only did businesses and their staff enjoy an evening of team building, but they also raised much-needed funds for the charity and had a fun time as well.
"A big thank-you to all the teams who took part as well as to Waterworld for hosting this event."
