as part of Antony Gormley’s One & Other
Chris will be on the plinth from midnight to 1am on Monday 13th July
(Sunday into Monday morning)
Chris McGuigan, Head of Marketing & Sales at The Regent Theatre & Victoria Hall is one of the 2,400 people selected to make an exhibition of himself on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square this summer
Chris will be on the plinth from Midnight on 12th July until 1am on 13th July.
Chris, 32, from Eccleshall is one of the first group of 615 participants for celebrated artist Antony Gormley’s One & Other project. 615 ordinary people have been selected at random from more than 20,000 applicants across the UK to occupy the empty Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square in July.
Chris will lead an impromptu sing-a-long with his guitar playing a selection of popular songs. At the same time he will be collecting money for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
The project, which is commissioned by the Mayor of London with funds from the Arts Council, and produced in partnership with Sky Arts, will see a different person take their place on the Fourth Plinth every hour, 24 hours a day, for 100 days. It will run from Monday 6th July until 14th October 2009. Applications are still open and can be made at www.oneandother.co.uk. All applications for the remaining three draws have an equal chance of success within each region, whether old or new.
