A MUSIC night and charity auction will raise money for seriously-ill children.

Local performers such as Mr Will and Michael Tremble will perform at the White Star pub, in Stoke, for the event in aid of the Donna Louise Children's Hospice.

The fund-raiser has been organised by 6Towns Radio presenter Carol Lovatt after she donated around £2,000 to the Trentham Lakes charity earlier this year.

She said: "The event came out of my donation in March, but is a collective effort with people I have known for many years.

"I have had a lot of help from friends to get it organised and get auction prizes."

Items up for grabs include Alton Towers tickets, trips to The Regent Theatre, spa days and meal vouchers.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 11, from 8pm. Entry costs £2.
