The Donna Louise meets The Italian Job

09 May 2017

For the 4th year, employees from TIP Trailers are about to take on a mammoth challenge to raise vital funds for local charities.

In previous years, the team dubbed "Fat Bottom Boys" has cycled from Manchester to Amsterdam, Ireland and Belgium. This year the team has expanded to include some "Fat Bottom Girls" as they complete 'The Italian Job' - travelling from the bottom of Lake Garda to Venice.

They will start at the foothills of the Alps on 24th May and then make their way along a 320km route via Verona, Vicenza and Paudua, arriving in the City Of Dreams two days later.

Over the last three years, TIP Trailers has raised more than £100,000 for local charities, of which more than £52,000 has been donated to The Donna Louise Children's Hospice.

Challenge Events Manager Nikki Wrench said, "It's been our pleasure to work with the Fat Bottom Boys (and now girls!) at TIP Trailers and we really enjoy being able to follow their journey.

"The money raised by the team over the last four years has been amazing and has made a real difference to the children, young adults and families who rely on The Donna Louise. We really are so grateful that TIP has continued our partnership over all of this time, as we genuinely couldn't do what we do without their ongoing support."
